Who we are

Patrick Hickman Coaching (“PHC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website, including in connection with The Light Refurbishment and other coaching programmes and services.

If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can contact us at: patrickhickmancoaching@gmail.com.

What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with this site, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name and email address, when you sign up for a programme, contact us, or opt in to updates
  • Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe – we do not store your card details ourselves
  • Programme participation data: information you choose to share during coaching sessions or in written exercises, where relevant to your programme
  • Technical data: basic website usage information (e.g. via standard site analytics), where applicable

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the coaching programme or service you’ve signed up for
  • Register you for the relevant Zoom sessions and send joining details
  • Process your payment and issue receipts
  • Respond to enquiries you send us
  • Send you updates about future programmes, only if you’ve opted in to receive these

Our lawful basis for processing

  • Contract: processing your name, email, and payment details to deliver a programme you’ve purchased
  • Consent: sending marketing updates about future programmes (you can withdraw this at any time)
  • Legitimate interests: basic website analytics to understand how the site is used

Who we share your information with

We use the following third-party services to run our programmes and process payments. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually required to protect your information:

  • Stripe – payment processing
  • Zoom – hosting and delivering live sessions
  • Zapier – automating registration between Stripe and Zoom
  • WordPress.com – hosting this website

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including Stripe, Zoom, and Zapier) are based in or transfer data to the United States. Where this happens, it’s done under recognised legal safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which these providers maintain as part of their own compliance.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as necessary to deliver the programme, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and handle any follow-up queries. We don’t keep personal data longer than needed for these purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (in certain circumstances)
  • Restrict or object to how we use your information
