Coaching muddy kids and clean adults

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I now call England home – but the journey that brought me here has been about more than geography. It’s been a path of rediscovery, growth, and a deepening understanding of what truly drives me.
Several years ago, when my job at the time was moved overseas, I found myself at a crossroads. Rather than rushing into the next thing, I paused. I took the time to ask myself a powerful question: What makes me tick? The answer, once I saw it, was surprisingly clear – I had been coaching people for over 25 years without even calling it that. Whether it was colleagues at work, friends navigating life’s challenges, fellow riders from my BMX racing days, or players on the rugby pitch, I had always found myself in the role of encourager, challenger, and supporter.
As I reflected more deeply, a story I share in my first blog, I recognised the moments that lit me up most: helping others break through self-imposed limits, watching the lightbulb moments when they realised they’d gone further than they believed possible. That energy, that sense of shared achievement, was something I didn’t want to leave behind.
So I leaned in. I began taking my interest in personal development more seriously, investing in my growth as a coach and working with clients across a wide range of topics. Alongside this, I threw myself into grassroots rugby coaching – guiding young players not just in the skills of the game, but in the values of teamwork, resilience, and self-belief. Whether on the field or in a coaching session, the heart of my work remains the same: supporting people as they navigate challenges, step into their potential, and discover just how far they can go.
From building focus and navigating change to overcoming doubts and striving for more, the work has only confirmed what I’ve always believed – that each of us already has what it takes. Often, all we need is someone to ask the right questions, hold us accountable, challenge us when we hesitate, and cheer for us when we rise.
That’s why I do what I do.
Whether it’s through coaching conversations, writing, or experiences on the track or pitch, my purpose is the same: to create spaces where people feel supported, stretched, and inspired to grow. I believe coaching isn’t about having all the answers – it’s about helping you find your own.
So if you’re ready to achieve more, to build clarity and confidence, or to simply explore what might be possible, let’s connect. No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation.
Here’s to you, and to all that you wish to accomplish.
